I asked Dom Flemons what The Carolina Chocolate Drops were playing live.He told me Traveling Shoes by the Badgett Sisters.It was rare but, i knew the tune well.CCD really know there oldtime music,makes me proud to see them cover all the best songs.
This mix was made for the fellow mixer and maker of some great mixes.Duuuuuuuude has always made mixes interesting to me.This mix is to show my appreciation for all the inspiration.Divine music is what i tried to make.Using songs from both black & white traditions.I hope you like this tribute,my friend.

This is gorgeous, TH! I can feel my soul being uplifted just reading the play list. I can't wait to give a listen, especially to the Rose Maddox, Red Foley, and Flatt & Scruggs numbers.
Though personally I didn't love this "quite" as much as Pass It On, it was still stunningly beautiful. You have a real gift for putting these together. Leadbelly, the Carters & the Golden Gate Quartet were favorite tracks and the closing 5 put me in heaven, thanks a bunch, my friend!
I am greatly honored! Haven't had a chance to listen to it all yet, but what I've heard is quite gorgeous, and definitely a kind of music I'd like to get into more...
